The Planning Division is open for business. Masks are mandatory for all staff and visitors in accordance with San Mateo County Health Orders. Visitors will be asked to maintain social distancing of 6 feet. The Planning Division is open Monday through Friday as follows:
Walk-ins: 8 am - 12 pm
Appointments: 1 pm - 5 pm
Holiday Closures: City Hall will be closed Thursday, December 23rd and Friday, December 24th. Similarly, we will be closed Thursday, December 30th and Friday, December 31st.

The Planning Division is responsible for maintaining the City's General Plan and various Specific Plans, and for maintaining, updating, and administering the City's zoning regulations and sign regulations that implement the policies outlined in these adopted plans. The zoning regulations contain the specific regulations that inform the design and construction of new development and additions to existing structures, including height limits, floor area ratio, parking requirements, lot coverage, property line setbacks, as well as outlining design review processes for various types of projects when required.
