City Hall is Open to the Public

Burlingame City Hall located at 501 Primrose Road is open to the public. As many of our services have moved to online platforms, we are hopeful that physical traffic inside the building will be moderate. Masks are mandatory for all staff and visitors in accordance with San Mateo County Health Orders. Visitors will be asked to maintain social distancing of 6 feet.
 
These are the hours for the different departments located in City Hall.

Water/Sewer Billing & Business Licenses - in the Finance Department (first floor)
Open Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Planning and Building (second floor)
Open for walk-ins Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Open by appointment Monday - Friday 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Staff is in the process of implementing an online appointment booking platform for people to schedule the afternoon appointments. Appointments can either be in person or via Zoom, whichever is most preferred and most convenient to the customer.

Engineering (second floor)
Open Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Code Compliance (first floor)
Open Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Appointments are strongly encouraged as the Code Compliance Officer is often in the field investigating. Email code-enforcement@burlingame.org, or call 650-558-7208, to submit a complaint or to make an appointment.

City Attorney, City Manager, and City Clerk (first floor)
The front desk is open Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., but appointments are strongly encouraged as the City Attorney, City Manager, and City Clerk are often in meetings offsite. Call 650-558-7204 to schedule an appointment.
