Danielle
Danielle Garcia
Board Chair

Danielle Garcia was appointed as a Library Trustee in 2019. She grew up between Manila, Vancouver, and the Bay Area, and recently moved back to Hillsborough with her husband Roy and their son Alexander. She is thrilled to be on the library board as she grew up frequenting the Burlingame Public Library and looks forward to introducing Alexander to the place when he is a little older. Danielle is a product manager at Facebook, and has also been involved in a pro bono capacity with literacy organizations such as Room to Read.


Kris
Kris Cannon

Kris Cannon returned as Library Trustee in 2021. She believes in the "right to read,"  and volunteers as a school librarian. She is a docent at Ano Nuevo State Reserve on the San Mateo coast, and with her husband Jim, has been active in the Burlingame Library Foundation since its inception.


Jill
Jill Goldsmith

Jill Goldsmith was appointed as a Library Trustee in 2023.  Jill has been a Burlingame resident for 26 years and she and her husband raised their two children in Burlingame.  The Burlingame Public Library has always been a special place for their family. Jill has a background in education administration and previously worked at UCSF for many years.  Currently her volunteer work includes mentoring middle school students on the Peninsula.


Mark
Mark Lucchesi

Mark Lucchesi was appointed as a Library Trustee in January of 2022.  Mark has been a Burlingame resident for over 65 years.  While Mark and his wife, Kathy, were raising their three children, he worked in the Supermarket Industry and was manager of Mollie Stone's Market for 30 years.  Mark is interested in podcasting and is working with the Burlingame Historical Society.  Mark and his family have supported and enjoyed the Library for many years and he is looking forward to serving as a Trustee. 


Elisabeth
Elisabeth Ostrow
Elisabeth Ostrow was appointed as a Library Trustee in 2019. After teaching middle school and practicing law in New York City, she moved to Hillsborough in 2001. While raising her three children, she volunteered in various positions at their schools and on their sports teams; her more recent volunteer work has involved teaching in the college preparatory program of the Prison University Project inside San Quentin and working with Project Read, tutoring adults in San Mateo County who seek to improve their literacy skills.
