Application Fees
Planning Fee Schedule (updated July 1, 2023)
Commercial Linkage Fees: Commercial linkage fees are required for new retail, hotel, and office development. Please refer to Chapter 25.44 of the Burlingame Municipal Code for more information.
Residential Impact Fees: Residential impact fees are required for new multifamily residential development. These fees apply to rental projects with 11 or more units and for-sale projects with 7 or more units. Please refer to Chapter 25.45 of the Burlingame Municipal Code for more information.
Public Facilities Impact Fees: Public facilities impact fees are required for expansions of existing buildings and new development (residential exempt if there is no increase in the number of units). Please refer to Chapter 25.46 of the Burlingame Municipal Code for more information.

Signs - Application Forms and Submittal Requirements
Installation of new signs or changing the copy on existing signs requires a building permit from the Building Division (Planning Division will review the proposed signs as part of the building permit review). Proposed signs are reviewed for compliance with Chapter 25.42 (Signs) of the Municipal Code. There are requirements for size, number, and location on a property.
