988 Howard Avenue
The City of Burlingame has approved an application to redevelop the property at 988 Howard Avenue. The project applicant is proposing to redevelop the site with a three-story mixed use office building with 1,325 square feet of retail on the ground floor and 22,295 square feet of office space. 60 parking spaces would be provided on site. The proposed building would have a building height of 45 feet. In addition to a 4,300 square foot roof deck, both floors of office will provide multiple deck areas along the street facing sides of the building.
The 15,352 square foot (0.35 acre) site is located within the Burlingame Downtown Specific Plan area and is subject to the regulations and guidelines outlined in the plan. The project would require the following permits and actions:
• Design Review by the Planning Commission
• Conditional Use Permit for building height
• Parking variance for reduction of required on-site parking
• Rear setback variance for reduction of minimum required rear setback
• Adoption of environmental review documentation, per the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
