Previously Approved Application:
The City of Burlingame has approved an application for Amendment to the Zoning Code (Off-Street Parking Regulations) to reduce the office parking ratio for properties located in the North Burlingame Mixed Use Zone; Mitigated Negative Declaration pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), Design Review, and Conditional Use Permit for mechanical parking stackers for a new seven-story, mixed-use development with retail, office and 60 residential units with below grade parking at 1766 El Camino Real.    

City Council Meeting - November 2, 2020

City Council Meeting - October 19, 2020

Planning Commission Action Meeting - August 24, 2020
On Monday August 24, 2020 the Planning Commission recommended approval to City Council of an application for construction of a new seven-story mixed use development with 7,588 square feet of ground floor commercial/retail, 148,057 square feet of office space and 60 residential units at 1766 El Camino Real, within the North Burlingame Mixed Use (NBMU) area.  

The application includes a request for zoning code amendment to change the office parking ratio in the NBMU zone from 1 parking space per 300 SF to 1 parking space per 400 SF (was originally proposed at 1:500 SF), therefore because of the requested code amendment  final action for approval of this project is with the City Council.

CEQA - Environmental Review - Notice of Intent (NOI)
In accordance with Section 15072(a) of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, notice is hereby given of the City’s intent to adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration for the project listed above.  The City of Burlingame has completed a review of the proposed project, and on the basis of an Initial Study and mitigations, finds that the project will not have a significant effect upon the environment.  The Notice of Intent to Adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration and Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration are available for public review below, with public comments received from July 15, 2020 through August 4, 2020 .
