Services for Older Adults

The Burlingame Public Library offers a variety of services, resources and programming to Older Adults and their families and friends. Programs include lectures, films, performances, interactive classes, crafts, and education that reflect a variety of interests.

  • Large Print Books  BPL has a large collection of Large Print Books that includes Fiction, Mystery, Biographies, Non-Fiction, and more.

  • Audio Books - If you prefer to listen to books on CD, check our collection of audiobooks. The library also offers 24/7 access to eBooks and audiobooks through OverDrive and Hoopla. Choose from hundreds of titles that can be downloaded to your home computer or a variety of mobile devices.

  • Genealogy Research through Ancestry.com and the Burlingame and Hillsborough Newspaper Collection.
    (These collections are available inside the library on our public computers)

  • Homebound Delivery This free service is offered to any residents of Burlingame and Hillsborough who are unable to make it to the library, but would still like to make use of the Library's collection of Books, DVDs, and CDs.

  • Volunteering at the Library - Volunteers serve an important and vital function at the Burlingame Public Library. Volunteers assist the staff in providing services to the public that make a Library visit a rewarding experience.

  • Caring Connections Information about issues related to the end-of-life. Includes state specific Durable Power of Attorney (Advance Directives) and Living Will forms.
